Outfit No.15

My blog is three months older and wiser now. And this is my fifteenth outfit post.

For those of you who have come in late, let me give you a low down on what this project is all about. See, my husband thinks that I have too many clothes, too many bags, too many shoes (you get the picture). At that point I was following style bloggers who had influenced me to dress 'appropriately'. I never dressed like a girl. I always tied my hair up because its convenient. Wore shirts, jackets and skinnies (my uniform) because it was convenient. Truth be told I still dress that way.

This blog was born out of necessity. I do have tens of thousands of clothes that is gathering dust. I had to do something about it. My guy, my mum and my well meaning girl friends made me shop for pretty girl-y things over the years, hoping and praying that I will wear them some day. And as you can see their prayers were answered.

I can see for myself that I have come a long way since my first outfit post. I was not perfect from the start. I learnt from my mistakes and grew. For the better.

Now onto my outfit. I wore this to our lunch date on Saturday to our friend's (more like family) Mary and Tom's place. A day for eyelet, evil eye, some legs and a messy bun.

{Gap cotton sweater in XL for that slouchy look/Eyelet skirt~Hollister/Random brand evil eye silver flats/80's off-white soft pleather clutch~La Chatte Bottee Vintage from Etsy/Liz Clairborne white temple aviator/Bracelet and earring set~gift from hubs}

We had an amazing and relaxed lunch. Lazed around like lizards on the porch, basking in the sun. It was great. The guys popped the hood of their cars to do some tinkering. And we girls changed into sweats, ate fudgesicles and took random pictures.

Hope you guys had a great weekend!

  15. This is the first time I have visited your blog I think, so thank you for the update. I think it always a good idea to step out of your comfort zone every no and then when it comes to fashion. If nothing else, I am sure it is a fun experiment on the reactions of other people towards you.
