#kamikazishoots Cherry Blossoms

Last weekend us and a couple of friends drove down to Washington, DC to see the cherry blossoms. We wanted to beat the crowd so we left pretty early, at around 4 am to be precise. Turned out to be a great idea, because, the place started to fill-up at around 8 am. Not to mention the rain. Believe it or not, we had the whole of Washington Dee Cee to ourselves for about half an hour.

Pluses: Beautiful blossoms, great restaurants and the amazing Suprasensorial exhibits at The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden.
Minuses: The rain, the crowd and swollen feet by the end of the day.

We finished off our incredible albeit painful day at Dee Cee with a couple of margaritas, empanadas, tacos and a late night show of The Hunger Games. Great movie. Got me really intrigued about the book.

More Dee Cee posts from a couple of years ago. Part One, Two and Three. Enjoy!

  1. Whoa! These photos are stunning! Aren't cherry blossoms one of the prettiest trees around? Ahh... It's so refreshing to see all these sights perfectly captured through these amazing images.
